Blenheim

The British infantry concentrated their efforts against the village of Blenheim on the left of the allied front. Although 'Salamander' Cutts was in command the initial attack was led by Brigadier Rowe who was mortally wounded. The 26th are in the foreground of this painting by Simkin; their drummers wear coats of reverse colour, yellow with red facings.
