Other Ranks' Shako Plate 1844-55


This simple design was worn by the infantry regiments on their full dress shako. It is brass and the circle is 3" in diameter with oak leaves on the left and laurel on the right. Grenadier companies had a grenade as well as the number and light companies had a stringed bugle with the number.
