The Siege of Bouchain

This engraving by a Dutch artist, C Decker, shows a church burning on the right. The town walls can be seen in the distance, and a figure on horseback, probably Marlborough, gives orders to an officer who carries a halberd. The Duke is pointing his stick towards the town. At the point of his stick, in the distance, can be seen a square fortified gun battery.
