34th in the Crimea

This well known painting by A Protain depicts a game of skittles played by men of the 34th against French Zouaves some time in 1855. Two men are in their yellow-faced full dress coats unbuttoned and wearing undress Kilmarnock caps. Another figure also wearing this type of cap has a khaki uniform. He could be an officer.
