1st/42nd other ranks' pewter bonnet badge circa 1840s. The Pewter badge was for the battalion companies only. The two flank companys (being the Light and the Grenadier) had either a bugle or a grenade replacing St. Andrew. Image kindly contributed by Ron Marsden.
