Officers' Waist-belt Clasps 1855 and 1864

These two items are placed together to show the differences. The top badge was worn by officers from 1855 to 1864. The title of the regiment in the circle reads THE KING'S OWN REGIMENT. The lion's paw is pointing forward. The lower belt-clasp is dated 1864 to 1881. The title in the circle reads: THE KING'S OWN ROYAL REGIMENT. The number is in Roman letters and the lion's paw is raised.
