Grenadier Officer's Shoulder Badge 1830-50


The undress blue frockcoat had shoulder wings edged in gold lace and this flaming bomb badge which is 2 inches in length. The button is also clearly seen here with a small 7 in the middle of the rose. This was a grenadier company officer's shoulder strap, the device worn by the battalion companies was the Shoulder Scale Badge of a crowned gilt rose in a garter.
