Cap Badge of the 5 Jewish Battalions


This beautiful badge was worn by the 38th 39th 40th 41st and 42nd (Reserve) Battalions that fought the Turks in Palestine in WW1. The device is the 7 branched Menorah which originated in the Temple in Jerusalem. The Hebrew inscription is 'KADIMA' which means forward.
