East of Ypres 1917

The fighting that involved the battalions of the Royal Fusiliers in the Third Battle of Ypres, from the end of July 1917 to late November, took place in the area east of the city of Ypres which is just off the left edge of the map, level with Hooge. The British, French and Empire forces were extended on a front running north-south, advancing in an easterly direction. Those places marked in red are all mentioned in the text.
