The Royal Irish Regiment

Other Ranks Belt Plate c1850

This belt plate was worn by other ranks of the 18th up to 1855. It is not known when it was introduced but it was probably before 1844 when the Chinese Dragon was put on badges and Colours. The scroll at the top has the regimental motto.
