| This image of Macpherson is a detail of a group photo of officers of the 2nd Gurkhas taken at Dehra Dun in June 1870 at which time he commanded the regiment. He won his VC during the Indian Mutiny on 25th September 1857. He was a Lieutenant at the time and serving in the 78th Foot. He rose to the rank of Major-General. |
