Officer's Full Dress Pouchbelt

The basis for the pouchbelt of the 11th was red Morroco leather. It was covered with a double row of gold lace of an unusual inter-plaited pattern and a red silk stripe down the middle. From the mid 1870s they were a lancer regiment with the title of Prince of Wales's Own, so the feathers badge dates from then. The pattern of parallel lines round the edge of the chains and pickers plates is peculiar to the 11th BL and matches the silver pouch flap.
