Pouchbelt Plate 1906

A silver badge that comes in two parts, worn on the front of an officer's brown leather pouchbelt. The regiment received the title 'Prince of Wales's Own' in 1906 and became 'King George's Own' in 1910. The Prince of Wales feathers became their badge from 1906 and replaced the crown on this badge at that date. They retained the feathers after becoming King George's Own. There is a battle honour for CHINA 1900 written on the top arm of the Maltese Cross. The crescent surrounding the number 130 has PWO BALUCHIS. The title 'PWO' is proof that this badge dates between 1906 and 1910.
