British Empire Title

The Yeomanry

Corporal, c1887

The closer view of the tunic collar and shoulder straps shows that the white tape, or lace, was about three quarters of an inch wide on the collar and half inch or less on the shoulder strap edges. His rank chevrons can just be seen, two silver lace stripes on a blue backing. The spiked helmet is of white metal with some brass parts to the badge. It is interesting that this NCO was allowed to have a beard.
