The blue and white forage cap was issued to the regiment c1907. This trumpeter is in the interim dress uniform worn in the first decade of the 20th century until the issue of the new dress uniform in 1909. This is the blue frock, normally worn as undress in the cavalry. The silver metal shoulder chains have brass titles, and there are bimetal badges on the stand collar. Five brass buttons fasten the front and there are two breast pockets but no hip pockets.
The trumpet has cords and tassels in the royal colours blue, yellow and red. On his left shoulder are white aiguillettes. He has an embroidered crossed trumpet badge over his gold lace corporal stripes.
