The Yeomanry

Officer, 1816

The jacket had changed little since 1803 apart from the removal of the shoulder wings and a modification of the braid on the back so that a trefoil appeared near each shoulder. The sash around his waist has been changed to a barrel sash with the cord ends looping around to the front. There is now a pouch-belt slung from his left shoulder, which is white leather with a plain black pouch. The sword belt is of white leather and he would have a sabretache but it is not known if it was plain black leather or not. Instead of the white breeches and knee boots he has blue overalls with a double scarlet stripe down the seam. The light dragoon helmet is as before.
