The Yeomanry

Officer, 1855

There were some slight changes made in 1853. The sword for the men was changed to a new pattern referred to as the Muntz. The officers, according to this illustration, had a three bar hilted sword but with a straight blade. The officers' bridles had brass bosses instead of leather rosettes. In 1855 the men were given black sheepskin saddle covers and their shabraques were discontinued.
