The Yeomanry

Sabretache c1890

The exact date of the introduction of this red-faced sabretache is not known. Photos of officers in review order during the period between the 1840s and the 1880s show that they only had plain black leather sabretaches. This one is quite conventional in design, with Queen Victoria's crown and cypher over the regimental title. It was worn until the abolition of the item in 1900.
