The Yeomanry

Band c1907

The band of the Warwickshire Yeomanry were photographed here in camp in 1907 or 1908. They are in dress uniform but it seems that they no longer wear the busby. All other photos in the years leading up to 1914 show them wearing the peaked forage cap. The caps in this photo are dark and are thought to be red. After 1911 the caps of all ranks were white and blue, including the band. The bandmaster sits in the middle with an officer's style frock-coat. None of the men wear a band badge as one would expect.
