Warwickshire Yeomanry in Syria


The Warwickshire Yeomanry were one of the last horse-mounted cavalry regiments in the British army in World War 2. They were photographed here on patrol at Rosh Pinna in Syria in 1941. They fought against Vichy French forces who were allied to Germany at that time.
