This magazine cover (price One Penny) features a coloured engraving of the Yorkshire Hussars by Simkin. The caption is on the inside of the magazine and reads: 'A NOTABLE YEOMANRY REGIMENT. One of the first yeomanry corps in the kingdom is the Yorkshire Hussars (Princess of Wales's Own), a representation of which appears on our front page this week. It is an old and excellent regiment, and numbers amongst its officers an rank and file the pick of Yorkshire gentlemen, farmers and others. The corps is under the command of Lieut.-Colonel the Earl of Harewood, and amongst its prominent officers are - Major the Hon. W.T.O.Powlett, Lord Wenlock, Hon. F.H.Dawnay, Mr.E.W.Beckett M.P., and others.
