The Yeomanry

Officers in Undress 1910

These junior officers photographed at camp in 1910 have two types of uniform worn in undress. The one on the right is a dark blue serge frock with regimental collar badge. His cap is scarlet with a white cover. The man on the left is in the first pattern khaki service dress that had the collar fastened at the neck. The later version had lapels and was worn with collar and tie. His cap is khaki with a brown chinstrap fixed over the peak. There are bicycles to be seen which indicates that the regiment was training as a cycle mounted unit at that time.
