Victor Alexander Grosvenor was born on 28 April 1853. He was the son and heir of the 1st Duke of Westminster. He was married to Sibell Lumley in November 1874. They had three children, two daughters and a son, Hugh Richard Arthur aka Bendor. Victor died before his father so Bendor inherited the Dukedom and became 2nd Duke of Westminster. The 1st Duke died in 1899 but Victor pre-deceased him on 22 Jan 1884. He served only a short time in the Earl of Chester’s Yeomanry; he was a sub-lieutenant on 28 Jan 1874 and remained in that rank until 1883 when he disappeared from the Army list. He was the elder brother of Lord Arthur Hugh Grosvenor who commanded the Cheshire Yeomanry from 1905 to 1910.
