Mounted Exercise 1890

The Troop goes through its paces with the sword arm extended. The officer in the foreground has a white horsehair throat plume on his bridle and a peaked forage cap. The artist has made the mistake of putting their pouch-belts on the right shoulder when they should be on the left as in the case of the sergeant.
