The Navy & Army Illustrated published several photos of the Cheshire Yeomanry in various activities. The caption to this one said, 'Although ability to shoot is not of such value in the cavalry as in the sister branch of the Service, it is nevertheless advisable that mounted men should be able to render a good account of themselves if dismounted for a time to hold a position.’
