Drum Major’s Sash, 1st Battalion


The sash is white edged with two rows of gold lace. There are 24 battle honours on crimson velvet scrolls overlaid on a green laurel wreath.The regimental badge with King’s crown is at the top of the sash with a scroll inscribed XXXI, the 31st being the parent regiment of the 1st Battalion. Below this the embroidered red and white rose, another symbol of the 1st Battalion, which can also be seen on the battalion’s regimental Colour.
