Glengarry Badge 1874

In undress the glengarry cap was worn from the early 1870s to the mid 1890s. This badge was worn by all ranks up until 1881 when the number 8 was dropped from the regimental title. Officers had a finer badge with a red velvet backing to the central silver horse and gilt 8.
