The 34th and 35th Companies IY were inspected by the Prince of Wales at Albany Street Barracks on 26 Jan 1900. This was the first Royal inspection of the Imperial Yeomanry. As well as the Middlesex Hussars there were two companies from Buckinghamshire, one from Berkshire, and one from Oxfordshire. It was not until a month later that they sailed to South Africa. |
