| Massy transferred to the cavalry in 1871 to take command of the 5th Lancers. This photo was taken later in his mid 30s after he had been promoted to Colonel. He wears the blue uniform with red plastron and facings, and two rows of wide gold lace on his cuffs as worn by field officers. His medals are the same as those in the 1886/8 photo. |
