| The late 19th century artist Richard Simkin produced this illustration based on the Chinnary miniature of the RHA officer of 1794, but using his knowledge to complete the uniform. The red turban on the helmet was changed to black around 1805, and around 1815 chin scales were added. The bearskin crest also grew in height as time went on. The coat was changed around 1799 to the waist length jacket with gold flat looping across the chest. |
