Mounted Sergeant 1861

Rank badges were worn on both sleeves in the RHA and this sergeant clearly shows the gun badge and crown above his three stripes. The sealskin busby has the cap-lines wound diagonally round and hooked up on the left side. The trousers have leathered ankles. This print was drawn and lithographed by G H Thomas in 1861.
