Rank badges were worn on both sleeves in the RHA and this sergeant clearly shows the gun badge and crown above his three stripes. The sealskin busby has the cap-lines wound diagonally round and hooked up on the left side. The trousers have leathered ankles. This print was drawn and lithographed by G H Thomas in 1861. |
