G Battery Badge, George VI

G Battery were serving in India when George V died, and changed their badge to the Edward VIII badge, but in 1937 they had to exchange it once more for the silver badge seen here which, although it does not have VI between the G and R, is in fact the George VI badge. Unlike the L Battery badge it is the same basic design as the George V badge. It was worn as late as 1940 when G Battery joined C and F Batteries to form 4th Regiment RHA.
