The cypher badge of the RHA was given official recognition in 1948, as a brass/gilt badge, not silver as it was originally intended. In 1958 the badge was changed from brass to white metal. This example, worn on the beret, is the early brass type with Queen Elizabeth’s cypher and St Edward’s crown. |
