A Battery, the Chestnut Troop, in their ‘Light Dragoon’ tracked gun tower. Behind them is a no.6 trailer and a 4.5in howitzer on a Mk1 PA carriage. (although other sources state that it is a 3.7in howitzer) The photo was taken in 1938 at Aldershot. The previous year they had been in Egypt where they were mechanised in 1935.
