India 1858

During the Indian Mutiny, G Battery served in the latter stages. The Sergeant is mounted, showing his rank on both sleeves. One gunner has a pouch-belt and a good-conduct stripe on his right forearm. The shorter men are a driver, with a leg protector and a whip, and a trumpeter with a crossed trumpet badge on his upper sleeve. They all have white pugarees wrapped around their forage caps.
