Royal Tournament 1893

The Royal Horse Artillery played a prominent part in the Royal Tournament which was held annually in the Royal Agricultural Hall in Islington from 1879 onwards, until the early years of the 20th century when it was moved to Olympia in West Kensington. The mounted sergeant leads the gun team with three drivers, and two gunners on the limber. The white shoulder straps were for the folded haversack.
