Limbering up 1903


The sergeant and four gunners manhandle the 12-pounder onto the hook of the limber in this 4th photo of the 1903 series. The new harness is much simpler than the leatherwork that predominated in the 19th century, and there is no sign of valises or leather wallets on the off-side horses.
