Royal Birth Salute 1960


The photo of the three gunners and their sergeant, Number One, firing their 13-pounder gun was taken in Hyde Park on 20 Feb 1960. They fired a 41-gun salute to mark the birth of Prince Andrew who was born on 19 Feb. This was one of six guns of the King’s Troop.
