The King’s Troop were moved to Combermere Barracks in Windsor, one of the homes of the Household Cavalry, from 1969 to 1972. This photo was taken on 17 April 1972, the day they returned to St John’s Wood which had been closed for re-building and modernisation. They are being inspected by Major-General James Bowes-Lyon GOC London District.
