Officers’ Dress Pouch

The officer’s dress pouch for the RHA was the same as worn by officers of the RA, worn from around 1834 when the sabretache adopted a design based on a similar theme. It remained unchanged throughout the remainder of the 19th century and up until the King’s Troop today. It was purported to be an ammunition pouch whereas the undress pouch was for a telescope or binoculars.
