Officer’s Sabretache c1830

The reversed WR cypher clearly indicates that this a William IV item. This belonged to Lieutenant William Swabey who served in E Troop, fighting in the Peninsula and in the Waterloo campaign allowing him to display battle honours for PENINSULA and WATERLOO. The decoration on the cypher has similarities with the 1828 sabretache so indicating that it is early rather than late 1830s.
