Officer’s Sabretache c1834 Detail

This early design for the Artillery sabretache is fairly well spaced out, not as tightly arranged as the later design. The Royal Arms has a gilt shield in the centre. The canon is also gilt metal and represents the 9-pounder gun that had been use since 1808. As well as the all-encompassing battle honour UBIQUE the motto QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT was adopted at this time, in the 1830s.
