Band Marching 1854

The band and men of the 19th Regiment march from the Tower of London on their way to embark for the Crimea in 1854. This is P W Reynolds’ copy of a sketch made by R Ebsworth who witnessed the march. At the front are the pioneers wearing brown leather aprons. Behind them is the drum-major, and then the band in white coatees. The last band member is a drummer but not one of the Corps of Drums. They follow the band with the buglers are at the front of the and the drummers behind.
