Drum Major , Barrack Dress 1997

When not in dress uniform the drum-major, on the right of this photo, carries a short staff with chains along its length. His badge of rank is on a leather wrist-band and consists of four inverted chevrons with a drum badge superimposed. He has a green plastic waist-belt with rectangular clasp indicating that he is below warrant officer status. He talks to an officer who wears a green and gold service cap and green and white stable belt. This photo is taken from Regiment magazine of October 1997.
