| This photo and four other photos on this page are taken from Regiment magazine of 17 Oct 1997. This group of Green Howards soldiers has the two Colours carried by ensigns, a lieutenant and a 2nd lieutenant. Behind them are a CSM (WO2) and two Colour Sergeants. They no longer have special badges to show their appointment as Colour Sergeants. The Colour belts worn on the left shoulders of the ensigns are green with the regimental badge embroidered on the front. The tops of the Colours have gilt Royal Crests. |
