Noel Kennedy Patterson

The last commissioner in charge of the island, he oversaw the dismantling of the island as an imperial penal colony. The prison had not been reopened upon the reconquering of the islands from the Japanese. In later life, he fought tirelessly for compensation for the prisoners.
