Colonel Edouard Bremond

The French contribution to the Arab Revolt is often underplayed and yet they were very active from the very outset. This picture shows Colonel Brémond, commanding officer of the French mission to the Hejaz. He had considerable experience of desert warfare in North Africa and had recently served as a corps chief of staff on the Western Front.
