Cotton Fields in Antigua


In the post war period, many hundreds of experts were sent to the Caribbean to help improve agricultural yields and find alternative crops to help diversify the local economies. This 1961 photograph shows women in Antigua working at the Friar's Hill Central Experimental Station.
