Decolonisation in Asia Map

This map shows the dates that the Asian countries were granted their independence. The most important being India. After the Jewel in the Crown had gone there was no longer much point in holding the remaining colonies. Things did get more complicated withe the heating up of the Cold War which could and did delay independence in some colonies.
