Mussadeq: Time Man of the Year

Mussadeq was declared Time's most influential man of the year for 1951. The rising influence of Oil and also of America's interest in the Middle East meant that challenges to British hegemony in the region were increasingly unlikely to be supported by her ostensible American allies.
